1.1 Equal Opportunities and Chances

At Azur Drones, we are determined to co-create an environment where every employee has access to the same opportunities for development and promotion, regardless of gender.

In order to allow the Company’s workforce to become more female-dominated, the Organisation applies a policy of positive discrimination in favour of women, with equal skills, in its recruitment. Our managers have always been sensitive to parity within their teams. However, we have been forced to recognise the low number of female applicants for engineering and technical positions, mainly due to the lack of female vocations in specialised training courses in these fields, and we have not yet succeeded in achieving gender balance within the workforce.

For example, women accounted for only 16% of the workforce at 1 September.

Management is also maintaining its commitment to equal pay for men and women with the same skills, thereby also promoting a balanced gender equality index.

1.2 Harmony between professional and personal life

We aim to achieve a work-life balance by offering flexible working policies, supporting birth/adoption-related leave and promoting a working environment that respects everyone’s needs.

In this context, we act fairly when it comes to supporting parenthood. As we do for employees returning from maternity leave, we are organising an interview for employees returning from paternity leave, in order to provide the fairest possible support for those of us who are becoming parents. This individual support enables us to plan a work organisation that allows for a good balance. In this respect, we have proposed the possibility of flexible teleworking days for parents of young children under the age of three, to enable them to deal more easily with the unforeseen situations created by looking after a young child.

1.3. Balanced Leadership

The organisation seeks to achieve a balance between men and women at all levels of leadership and responsibility by actively encouraging the professional development of women and their access to management positions.

In a context where women are still under-represented in applications for positions of responsibility/management, Azur Drones is committed to local and regional partnerships that encourage gender diversity.

It is in this context that the Company has joined the association „ELLES BOUGENT“, whose main ambition is to strengthen the diversity of talent within companies in the industrial and technological sectors. Paris, 12 October 2022 – Autonomous drones are making their début at the Paris Fire Brigade (BSPP). As the sun rises, the Skeyetech drone climbs into the sky above the capital’s 6^th arrondissement. Without pilot, it heads over the River Seine and drops a lifebuoy to a drowning victim.

In keeping with its culture of innovation, the Paris Fire Brigade has become the first fire and rescue unit in the world to deploy an autonomous solution in urban areas, in partnership with Azur Drones, the leading French company in the field of drone-in-a-box solutions.

Technology saves lives.

Every year, the Paris Fire Brigade carries out around 300 rescue operations in the River Seine, saving people in difficulty in the water. To increase the chances of victim survival, it is studying the integration of the Skeyetech unmanned drone into its operations. After receiving a call for help, the drone automatically deploys to the area where the person is drowning. It is the first to arrive at the scene and provides rescue workers with smart video via automatic victim detection using its day and night cameras. Once positioned above the person to be rescued, the drone releases the buoy. The victim can then cling to it while waiting for the swimmers and divers and the drone continues its mission of supporting the operations in progress.

“With its automated operations and sensors, the Skeyetech system enables us to save a considerable amount of time on the average intervention. There is no need for a remote pilot. The teams on the ground concentrate on the most important part of the operation, i.e. victim rescue and assistance. Before the rescuers get to the victim, our teams have a real-time situation update: number and condition of the victims, context and progress of the mission… Thanks to Skeyetech, we will certainly be able to improve our efficiency and intervention time,” explains Major Mathieu Giroir, initiator and coordinator of the project within the Paris Fire Brigade’s Forward Planning & Research Department.

BASF and Azur Drones announce they have successfully completed the deployment of the Skeyetech drone-in-a-box solution at a major BASF site, the world’s largest integrated chemical complex. The Skeyetech drone is used several times a day by BASF security teams to reinforce the security of the site.
Skeyetech is a drone-in-a-box solution designed by the French company Azur Drones, to enhance security and support operations on sensitive sites. Fully autonomous, Skeyetech drones can be quickly dispatched at the click of a button to any area, even difficult to access, to carry out specific checks, security patrols, inspections or special measures.
A Skeyetech system has just been successfully deployed at a major BASF site. This system is operated directly by trained BASF security agents from the site’s security headquarters, located 7km from the Skeyetech station.

The installation was made possible by a BVLOS flight authorization obtained by BASF GmbH, from the German National Airworthiness Authority. “Autonomous drones are game changers for sensitive sites security. They offer higher responsiveness and unmatched visual capabilities thanks to their thermal sensor and their mobility, while providing real operational support for ground teams. The deployment of the Skeyetech solution is part of BASF’s desire to integrate state-of-the-art technologies to make its teams more performant” said Thomas Oberling, Operations and Situation Center Officer at BASF.
